Summer Fitness Fun in the Sun!

Summer is the time to get fit!

Summer is the time to renew your dedication to your self and your fitness & exercise program. If you’ve put it off through the winter and spring, there are no more excuses to begin a basic exercise program, with the warm, sunny weather.

You should naturally want to get outside and move your body and start feeling good again!

If nothing else, take a 30 minute walk every day. Get your endorphins, your brain’s feel-good chemicals activated and elevate your mood.

Join a gym and get instruction and encouragement with a few sessions from a skilled trainer to jump start your fitness program. Choose your cardio program, your strength training and your flexibility training.

Combine all 3 into a 1 hour workout 4-5 times a week.

Start with cardio for 20-30 minutes. Vary it from walking and running on the treadmill to the elliptical machine and the rowing machine.

Then do a weight circuit for 20 minutes. Try to hit all the major muscle groups.

Do at least 10-15 minutes of flexibility and stretching. And you’re good to go!
